Did you know that tea is the most enjoyed beverage in the world? While the USA loves their coffee, tea is enjoyed daily by billions of people around the world. It should come as no surprise that the traditional home of Kratom, Southeast Asia, has a long and rich history of crafting the best kratom tea. It only makes sense to look to those cultures in particular to gain insight.
What Are The Best Kratom Tea Tips?
- Hot Water – But not Quite Boiling
We’re making kratom tea to enjoy the benefits associated with the alkaloids, so the absolute last thing we want to do is diminish their effects by using boiling water. The number one tip to take home? Don’t boil your powder directly in the water, and don’t pour boiling water over it either. Instead, let your boiling water cool slightly before adding your kratom, and prepare to enjoy all of the famous health and wellness benefits of Kratom!
- Add Lemon or Apple Cider Vinegar
We’ve already discussed the fact that alkaloids are responsible for the much appreciated effects of kratom that you’re searching for. These alkaloids are certainly stable at high temperatures, but extended exposure to the high temperature water involved in brewing tea creates a reaction that can degrade the potency of your tea. The fix? Add acid! It’s not as scary as it sounds though, lemon or apple cider vinegar helps to slow the reaction and keep your tea as potent as possible. What’s more? You’ll have a touch of flavor to go along with all the benefits!
- Sweeten It Up!
While many people like to connect with the natural, earthy, but unfortunately quite bitter taste of kratom, many others find it difficult to enjoy. Luckily there are a multitude of options to naturally improve the flavor profile, while at the same time having no impact on the effectiveness of your kratom tea! Options to include during the steeping process can include cinnamon, ginger, lemon zest and more. When it comes to your fully steeped tea, try adding agave juice, honey or organic sugar and find out just how tasty kratom tea can actually be!
- Get The Ratio Rate For You
Even after taking the steps we listed above, some kratom users still prefer the taste to be a bit more diluted. The fix is as easy as can be. Without adjusting the dose you have already decided upon, simply use a high ratio of water to kratom. You’ll be left with a larger serving of tea, but exactly the same dose. Be sure to drink the entire cup though, to be certain you get the proper results!
- Stir It Well!
Tusk Kratom is famous for our expertly crafted powder, and it makes the perfect and convenient addition to kratom tea. Anytime you use powder in your blend, it is very important to break up clumps to make sure the consistency of your tea is perfect. Use a small whisk, or even a Matcha tea to effectively disperse the powder throughout the beverage. Yes, it really is that simple!
